Hello, I'm Selina!
I am a registered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Ph.D. specializing in neurological disorders.
With a passion for supporting individuals across the lifespan, I work extensively with both pediatric and adult populations, providing evidence-based assessment and intervention for complex communication challenges and/or swallowing disorders.

My research explores the experiences and needs of individuals with acquired brain injury and other neurogenic disorders, with the goal of advancing evidence-based assessment and intervention and improving outcomes for individuals and their families.
Clinically, I focus on implementing individualized treatment approaches to support functional communication, language development, social participation, and quality of life for all communicative or swallowing needs.

What are your areas of interest?
My clinical interests span both pediatric and adult populations. With children, I’m particularly interested in early language development, speech sound development, social communication, and supporting children in building confidence and functional communication skills. With adults, I’m interested in working with individuals with neurogenic communication disorders, including supporting communication and participation following neurological changes or injury. Across all ages, I value a family- and client-centred approach that makes communication meaningful and functional in everyday life.
What is your favourite speech therapy toy, game, or activity?
I love using bubbles! They’re simple, motivating, and can be used to target so many skills—from requesting and turn-taking to early sounds, vocabulary, and social communication.

What is something fun or interesting about you that you’d like families to know?
I’m a big believer that therapy should be fun! I love getting creative, following a client’s interests, and turning everyday moments into opportunities for communication and connection.
